Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AustroCyber (the "Service"), operated across austrociberseguridad.com, austrocyber.com, checkintruder.com, austrocybersecurity.com, and their associated domains (together, the "Site"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What AustroCyber does

AustroCyber runs automated, read-only external checks against a domain name or IP address you provide — DNS configuration, TLS/SSL certificate health, HTTP security headers, and a limited set of commonly-used ports — and walks you through the findings in plain language through an AI-powered chat agent. A basic external scan is free once you verify ownership of the domain. Deeper checks and a prioritized remediation plan are available as paid add-ons, gated behind a second, stricter ownership verification.

AustroCyber never attempts to exploit, modify, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system. All checks are passive and read-only.

2. Authorization to scan

You may only submit a domain or IP address for scanning if you own it or are explicitly authorized by its owner to test it. For domain targets, we require proof of ownership via a DNS TXT record before running any check beyond the domain's public DNS records. For IP targets, you self-certify authorization at submission time; we do not independently verify IP ownership, so you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to test the infrastructure you submit. Scanning infrastructure you do not own or lack authorization to test is a violation of these Terms and may violate applicable law.

3. Accounts

Access to the Service requires an account, created via a passwordless "magic link" sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure — anyone with access to it can access your AustroCyber account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.

4. Payments and Paddle

Paid features are sold and billed by our reseller, Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), who acts as the merchant of record for all purchases made through the Service. Paddle handles payment processing, tax collection and remittance, and invoicing. Your purchase is subject to Paddle's own Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms. Prices are shown in USD and may change at any time; changes do not affect purchases already made.

5. Acceptable use

In addition to Section 2, you agree not to: use the Service to test infrastructure for malicious purposes; attempt to circumvent rate limits or verification requirements; resell or redistribute scan results as your own professional security assessment without disclosing that they were generated by an automated tool; or use the Service in a way that could disable, overburden, or impair it for other users.

6. No warranty; limitation of liability

AustroCyber's scans are informational and automated. They are not a substitute for a professional penetration test or security audit, and finding no issues does not mean your systems are secure. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AUSTROCYBER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING DAMAGES RESULTING FROM A SECURITY INCIDENT THAT A SCAN DID NOT DETECT.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, in particular Section 2. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ecuador, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where Paddle's Buyer Terms govern the payment relationship as described in Section 4.
